Recently, I was invited to try out a new casual dining establishment in the West Hills area called Roman’s Carving Kitchen. After scrolling through their Instagram feed, I immediately knew that I had to check to check them out. I had to know if their food tasted just as amazing as it looked!

Roman’s Hand Carved Meats
Seriously, guys, this food is beyond amazing. Like melt in your mouth deliciousness. Roman’s 24 hours braised prime brisket literally melts in your mouth and is amazingly delicious! The brisket is juicy and tender and just full of flavor! Another great item on their menu is the 24 hours braised tri-tip steak. Juicy and flavorful! While it is not as tender as the brisket it is still just as delicious!
Roman’s Sidekicks
Each plate comes with a side of your choice. We tried the redskin mashed potatoes (my favorite) and the roasted cauliflower florets. The potatoes had the perfect amount of creaminess, along with a boatload of garlic in it. As someone who loves garlic, I may or may not have immediately devoured the potatoes. The cauliflower florets were cooked with fresh herbs and a garlic sauce. I was pretty excited to try these since I love cauliflower but truth be told, they kind of fell flat. They were a little too soft and there was something I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. Even though I didn’t really enjoy the floret, my boyfriend did think they were pretty good.
Each meat plate also comes with Spring Cabbage Salad, their version of a coleslaw. I normally don’t like coleslaw but this is one that I can get behind. It is made with green cabbage, cauliflower, Persian cucumber, fresh dill, cranberry & lemon-herb vinaigrette. I would definitely recommend eating this first. I didn’t start eating it till I was almost finished with my food and it did become a little soggy at the end.

Sodas donโt come with the meal but their soda machine is one of those cool ones that have over 100 different choices, which totally pleases my inner child since that means I can get flavored sodas ๐ overall if you are looking for a great place to grab a bite to eat either with the family or on a date, or heck even a solo!
